Supports the latest modern versions of Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Opera, running on Windows, Linux, Chrome OS, macOS, iPadOS, iOS or Android. Other Blink (Chromium), Gecko (Firefox) and WebKit (Safari) -based browsers, like Brave, Yandex, etc. should be supported but are not tested.
Palm rejection requires an active stylus connected to a compatible device. Pressure and tilt sensitivity requires supported hardware and software, and is applied to the standard Pen and Highlighter respectively. An active stylus with a physical eraser tip or erase button will work with the Eraser. Check with manufacturer for drivers or built-in compatibility.
Input device distinction refers to the ability for the web app to detect the input device or type (mouse, finger, active stylus etc.) and modify its behaviour accordingly. For instance, dragging a finger on the canvas while having an active stylus can pan the canvas instead of draw a stroke.
System clipboard integration uses web APIs that do not offer a consistent experience among browsers. Chrome, Edge, Opera (Chromium browsers in general) will induce a permission prompt to allow the GUI paste button to access the system clipboard, but the GUI paste button won't work with system clipboard in other browsers. Nevertheless, the app can still access system clipboard data upon triggering the system keyboard shortcut for pasting (e.g. Ctrl+V or Cmd+V) on all browsers.
Drawing synchronisation between devices has a maximum latency of about 300ms worldwide, lower than most similar products. Devices closer to the server — such as those located in South East Asia — can experience instant sync with imperceptible latency. Performance is tested using 2 clients on alpha versions of Loci at 1 Mbps.
